Weihenstephan Welcome Week
Our Weihenstephan Welcome Week makes it easier for you to start your first semester with interesting introductory events. You can learn to use TUMonline, participate in campus and library tours, and listen to valuable lectures. A huge plus is that you’re getting to know other students.
The digital service fair Fit for TUM for newcomer students will also help you get started with your studies. Here, you can learn more about financing your studies, accommodation, sports, and university life and get to know numerous institutions and initiatives virtually.
To kick off Welcome Week Weihenstephan, the Student Council Weihenstephan (SCW) cordially invites you to the ceremonial welcome to first-year students. Our dean and the mayor of Freising will extend a warm welcome to all first-year students. In addition, the student councils of the study areas will introduce themselves, and you will receive valuable information about your studies.

From organizing your studies to housing and campus life: Get to know essential facilities and offers at TUM Campus Weihenstephan at the “Marketplace of Opportunities.” The facilities and student clubs present themselves at the stands in the foyer of the Central Lecture Hall Building.

At the welcome event for international students, we especially welcome students from abroad. You will learn helpful information about your studies at the TUM School of Life Sciences and living in Freising and Germany.

Welcome to our green campus! All international students are cordially invited to our Campus Tour.
The Campus Tour will give you a good overview of the campus in Weihenstephan. The tour shows not only all departments and research institutions but also the library, the cafeteria, and computer labs. Furthermore, essential topics associated with everyday campus life are explained. It offers a good opportunity to get to know your fellow students and make new contacts.

The TUM University Library provides you with about 1.5 million books and journals. Your "entrance ticket" is the StudentCard.
- During the Welcome Week, you can take a guided tour of the Weihenstephan Library. You can find all the dates in Moodle.
- Further practical courses on research and citations in science can be found on the university library's website.
Whether you want to register for courses, take exams, or check your grades - our Campus Management System TUMonline and the Learning Management System TUM-Moodle will accompany you throughout your studies.
