Examination affairs

This team processes student applications regarding their thesis registration and thesis extensions or suspension, recognition of achievements, compensation for disadvantages, withdrawal from examination and extension/suspension of deadlines regarding the academic progress check (the student advisors provide advice on these topics).  Other areas of responsibility are the administrative support of the examination boards, exam protocols, and rankings for scholarships and funding programs.
This team is the contact for lecturers and employees regarding, among other things, examination management and examination law issues such as changes in grades, cheating, and the end of the assessment period. Planning exam dates and booking rooms are located in the General Study Affairs team.

Student Advising

The Student Advising Team advises prospective students on the content and requirements of degree programs and on the admission procedure. The team supports students along the entire "Student Life Cycle" in questions of study structure (subject-related, organisational and administrative), international student affairs and in special personal situations.
The team carries out and further develops the admission procedures for all degree programs.
The team also assists students with questions about maternity and parental leave, as well as studying with a disability or chronic illness, and prepares certificates of achievement in accordance with BAföG.

Quality Management and Degree Program Development

Among other things, the team supervises the introduction of new degree programs on a formal level, carries out reaccreditations and changes to the statutes of existing degree programs at the TUM School of Life Sciences, updates module descriptions and models the degree programs in TUM-online for smooth access on the part of lecturers and students.
