You´ve got your admission? What´s next? There are many things to be organised and planned. From Student Card, fees and scholarships to finding accommodation, university life has to be organised by yourself. With our checklist, you are well prepared for the start of your studies.
The digital service fair “Fit for TUM” will also provide you with support before starting your studies. Here you can learn more about topics such as financing your studies, housing, sports, and university life – and get to know many facilities and initiatives conveniently in a virtual setting.
Weihenstephan Welcome Week
From October 5th - 9th, 2026, you can look forward to exciting introductory events to help you start your first semester. You will learn how TUMonline works, explore the campus, participate in library tours, and listen to helpful lectures. A huge plus is that you’re getting to know other students.
To kick off Welcome Week Weihenstephan, the Student Council Weihenstephan (SCW) cordially invites you to the ceremonial welcome to first-year students. Our dean and the mayor of Freising will extend a warm welcome to all first-year students. In addition, the student councils of the study areas will introduce themselves, and you will receive valuable information about your studies.

From organizing your studies to housing and campus life: Get to know essential facilities and offers at TUM Campus Weihenstephan at the Welcome Fair. The facilities and student clubs present themselves at the stands in the foyer of the Central Lecture Hall Building.

Welcome to our green campus! All international students are cordially invited to our Campus Tour.
The Campus Tour will give you a good overview of the campus in Weihenstephan. The tour shows not only all departments and research institutions but also the library, the cafeteria, and computer labs. Furthermore, essential topics associated with everyday campus life are explained. It offers a good opportunity to get to know your fellow students and make new contacts.

The TUM University Library provides you with about 1.5 million books and journals. Your "entrance ticket" is the StudentCard.

- Further practical courses on research and citations in science can be found on the university library's website.
Program-specific introductory sessions will occur before the lecture period starts, during the week of October 5th-9th, 2026, at the Weihenstephan campus.
