Anyone who works in science must also communicate scientific results to the public. Communicating scientific content to the public is one of the core tasks of science. In this way, scientific research results can enrich public discussion and lead to changed attitudes and lifestyles in some areas of life.
We support employees who want to report on their research, and we help media representatives find suitable experts.
Are you looking for a contact person for an interview or experts on a specific subject area at the TUM School of Life Sciences? We will gladly help you with the placement and establish contacts to our scientists.
If you have questions about topics that are being researched at other locations of the Technische Universität München, please contact the Corporate Communications Center of the TU München.
Do you need image material? Then feel free to take a look at the TU Munich's media archive. Most of the images there can be used free of charge for editorial purposes; more detailed information on the terms of use can be found at the respective object.
Do you need information on current TUM figures, such as the number of students or the number of current employees? Then take a look at the page "Facts and figures". There you will get a first overview. If you have detailed questions about the TUM School of Life Sciences, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Do you want to publish a research result or report on a new employee, an award or an innovation in your department? Contact us and we will clarify together which framework is suitable to make your concern public. Depending on the topic, this could be a news report, a press release or a press conference.
Particularly helpful for our work are already existing, short, texts in German and English and good picture material. In addition, the corporate design of TUM must be observed for publications.
Content can also be distributed via TUM's social media channels. The contact persons for this are the employees in the Web Communications department.
