Between Ideals and Aisles: Why We Eat Differently Than We Think
The first talk in the series “Social Factors in Agriculture” explores the citizen-consumer gap – the divide between our values and our actual consumption behavior. It reveals why good intentions often falter due to convenience, price, and habit – and what opportunities exist to better align ethical ideals with everyday life.
Two interesting lectures regarding the topic No soils, no sun, no problem? - The Future of Farming Indoors.
One lecture by Lukas Deuring (TUM) on the topic: “From Space to Earth: An Introduction to Vertical Farming Systems and Advanced Sensing Technologies for Plant Stress Detection“ as well as a second lecture by Pooja Suresh Gowda (HSWT) on the topic: „Cultivation of Medicinal Plants in Indoor Vertical Farming Systems“
We look forward to welcoming numerous guests to exchange ideas and network. If you are unable to attend in person, you can follow the stream on YouTube or watch it afterwards.
